Requirements
As one of Turkey’s most successful football clubs, Fenerbahçe requires modern and efficient solutions to optimally inform and entertain the numerous visitors at its home stadium, Şükrü Saracoğlu. The stadium, built in 1908 in the Istanbul district of Kadıköy and now with a capacity of over 47,000 spectators, demands high-quality advertising spaces for club sponsors and engaging content to make the non-game times more diverse. The goal was to enhance the spectator experience through the use of cutting-edge technology while providing sponsors with an effective advertising platform.
Implementation
To meet these requirements, Fenerbahçe relied on perimeter LEDs from LEDECA, a specialist in sports venues. These LED banners are the first in Turkey to be certified according to UEFA standards. The installation includes wide-angle LED panels that ensure content is visible from all angles. The robust PC surface protects the installations from vandalism, extending the hardware’s lifespan and providing both financial and environmental benefits. Additionally, local production of the LED modules in Turkey avoids long transportation routes.
