Requirements
The renowned Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski resort in Tyrol, Austria, aimed to elevate its visitor communication to a new level. The goal was to implement a modern digital information and signage solution that would not only visually mark the typical subway stops but also functionally cater to the needs of winter sports enthusiasts. Special emphasis was placed on effectively communicating the Serfaus parking area, which is connected to the ski lifts. The focus was on integrating current departure times and final destinations in real-time.
Implementation
For the technical implementation, CANCOM Austria AG chose an innovative solution: LED cubes that mark the subway stops in the ski resort. These digital cubes display not only the classic “U” symbol but also the next departure time and the respective final destination. With seamless data connectivity integration, the information is automatically updated to provide visitors with the most current times. Additionally, special monitors were installed on the platforms, and a large LED wall was set up at the central valley station to provide event information, tourist info, warning notices (such as avalanche status), and live footage.

Thanks to the flexibility of easescreen in handling various hardware and media formats, the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski resort was able to optimally design its visitor communication. The software enables easy integration and use of different display types, ensuring comprehensive information delivery. The specially stretched monitors and LED wall offer versatile applications, from event announcements to current warnings and infotainment. This solution ensures that both tourists and locals are always well-informed.
