Requirements
Gargellen Bergbahnen, located in the impressive ski area of Gargellen in Montafon, sought a modern solution to update their static, analog guidance system. The goal was to implement a dynamic and flexible digital signage system that would provide visitors with comprehensive information at over 2,100 meters above sea level. This included detailed panoramic maps for winter and summer, current status reports on slopes, lifts, and trails, as well as important safety information such as avalanche reports and weather data.
Implementation
For the successful implementation of the project, a customized digital signage system was developed. The hardware infrastructure includes a large outdoor LED wall (5×4.5 m), an indoor LED wall (3.5×5 m), and several indoor LCD monitors. These are complemented by two digital signposts installed both indoors and outdoors. The easescreen software solution allows for the centralized management of all content, from the creation of playback schedules and the design of templates to the distribution of information across various displays.

All requirements and various display systems are managed with easescreen digital signage software:
- Creation of playback schedules
- Design of templates & content
- Distribution of content to different display systems
- Interface to Feratel CPS and integration of real-time data (weather, temperature, wind, avalanche warning levels)
Safety-related information (slope status, avalanche warning levels, warning lights, etc.) is imported through an interface from the Feratel CPS system to easescreen or accessed via HTTP and displayed on various screens.
